In cemeteries there is a lot of history to be told. Since I was a child, I was always impressed with everyone there without really knowing what relevance they had to society and family. What they did, what their life story was. AppEulogy will be of great help even to future historians. It would also help in emotionally recovering from the loss of someone very close as it happened to me recently.
The Mobile App is intended to be used to view content from the Database on a smart-phone or tablet. It will have the following features:
Ability to enter information to create a query to the Database. Query can function with only some of the fields populated.
Information can be entered by photograph of QR Code
The App will either directly decode the QR code, or use it as a reference to find and auto-populate query fields and auto initiate query
Information can be entered by photograph of headstone with subsequent evaluation to recognize text and populate likely fields for query
App will present fields for query to User for approval (allows for re-imaging in cases where OCR function is inaccurate) (Amazon Extract?)
Information can be manually entered in fields for query
Physical Address can be pulled from Location services of mobile device and auto-populate appropriate fields
Ability to present Content that results from a query
In cases of general searches where multiple ‘entries’ result from query, provide a means to show preview of content to aid in User selecting result to see full Content
Show Content in an organized format, perhaps with a different tab or page for each type of content (one for text, one for pictures, one for movies, one for well-wishes, etc.). Key here is to avoid excessive ‘scrolling’ in cases where a lot of content is available.
User can select whether Content is presented in Chronological order, or reverse Chronological order.
